Are You An Artist?

All young artists are being called to participate in the Human Rights Day celebration this year by creating art that shows one of the human rights.

Who is invited to participate: Tennessee students, whether in public school, private school or home school.

What type of art: 2-dimensional visual art, maximum of 8.5″ x 11″. Drawing, Sketch, Painting, Collage, etc., as long as it’s 2-dimensional and 8.5 x 11, the sky’s the limit!

What to do: You need an adult to sponsor you. This would probably be a teacher, or if you are home-schooled it could be your parent. It could be someone else, such as a Scout Leader or mentor. Have your Sponsor register on this website, then make your art! There is a form for you to fill out on this website (get the form). Attach it to the back of your art and deliver it to your Sponsor by the deadline.

Dates: Submissions are being accepted from Oct 1 – Nov 21

Who receives the art: Art will be picked up by the Human Rights Day Committee after the deadline, or you may deliver it in person to the Human Rights Day Committee, attn: Brian Fesler, 1130 8th Ave S, Nashville, Tennessee 37203. If you are outside Davidson county, please deliver or mail your art to the Committee. Work in digital form may be emailed to gro.rhuntnull@ofni.
