Join friends and neighbors for International Peace Day to learn about human rights and an art contest for school-age youth on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Church of Scientology Community Hall, 1130 8th Avenue South, Nashville, TN.

International Day of Peace was declared by the United Nations General Assembly as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.

In Nashville, each year, the International Day of Peace has been observed with a different theme related to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This year, the focus is Article 19: “Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression.”

Tennessee United for Human Rights (TnUHR) promotes human rights education to make peace a reality by increasing awareness of human rights.
