Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean have issued proclamations naming December 10 Human Rights Day in Nashville as well as the state of Tennessee.
Recognizing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Governor Bredesen affirms the state’s commitment to “guarantee civil and human rights for all its residents”. Mayor Dean echoes the commitment to “civil and human rights for all”.
